GG-Audio has announced the release of Blue3, a complete simulation of a vintage tonewheel organ.
Overview Blue3 is an incredibly detailed simulation of the classic tonewheel organs that we all know and love. Those B-3's, C-3's and A100's are remarkably complex pieces of machinery with thousands of electrical and moving parts, which only partially explains their very rich warmth and tone. We've painstakingly simulated every single feature and circuit and more importantly, every single source of imperfection to give Blue3 its wonderful richness and complexity. |
Version 1.1.0 Update:
We're proud to announce a significant update to Blue3 to version 1.1.0. This update includes some minor bug and performance fixes, but also includes an awesome new feature, Blue3Rotary, a separate plugin that consists of the Tube Overdrive and Rotary Cabinet simulations from Blue3. This means you can now route any audio you'd like through Blue3Rotary's overdrive and swirling speakers, just as if you'd sent your audio into a vintage 122/147 cabinet. Try a guitar or some vocals...it's very cool.
This update also makes some minor changes to several of the included presets and it could overwrite any changes you may have made to those presets. To prevent overwriting your presets, you can do any of the following:
Here is a complete list of changes from the Read Me file:
1.1.0
· Blue3Rotary plugin now included (Tube Overdrive and Cabinet simulations only)
· Blue3 now has 2 stereo outputs, Master and Direct (before Tube Overdrive and Cabinet)
· Changed the Options button to UI
· Added a Settings dialog and moved non-controller settings from Controller page
· Ambience slightly smoother
· Really, really stops dead center when Front Stop is engaged...no, really.
· Drawbar 8' adjustment is now labeled correctly in status bar when hovering or adjusting it's knob
· Status bar now prefers to show knob being adjusted value rather than a controller change
· Corrected an issue related to split keyboard and midi channels
· Minor updates to several included presets
· Fixed a very stupid crash when pressing the Clear All button on the Controllers page
You can download the new update from the website or use these links (which will always have the latest version.
This update also makes some minor changes to several of the included presets and it could overwrite any changes you may have made to those presets. To prevent overwriting your presets, you can do any of the following:
- Save your presets to the Users or MIDI Programs subfolders. Blue3 will never touch or overwrite any presets in those folders.
- Rename the presets to something other than the original Blue3 preset name. Maybe add your initials to the beginning or end of the preset name or similar.
- Choose to not install the included presets on the installer screen.
